HuntonBrady Architects designed this new seven-story, 156,000 sf building located at Florida Hospital’s Health Village downtown. It houses the Florida Hospital Diabetes Institute and includes a demonstration kitchen and shopping area to educate diabetes patients. The building will also house the Central Florida Hepatology & Gastroenterology Suite, Advanced Minimally Invasive Surgery & Gynecology Specialists, Endoscopy Suite and the Transplant Center Suite. The building doubles the hospital’s capacity for both educational and clinical patients. The design team created a contemporary building to complement the adjacent 12-story Ginsburg patient tower, also designed by HuntonBrady Architects. It is composed of precast concrete with a glass curtainwall and features a dramatic exterior vertical glass element.
