Florida Hospital Orlando Ginsburg Patient Tower
Florida Hospital Orlando | Ginsburg Patient Tower & Cardiovascular Institute | Orlando, Florida 2009 AIA Orlando Chapter Design Award
The 15-story Ginsburg patient tower is the centerpiece of a complete campus and facility revitalization. Evidence-based design principles were incorporated throughout the facility which was completed in December, 2008. A central energy plant, two public garages and major road realignments were required.
The tertiary tower has 400 inpatient rooms. The 40-bed floors are sectioned into two 20-bed units to provide flexibility as patient mix changes. On the first and second level is the Cardiovascular Institute providing invasive, non-invasive and rehabilitation services in a signature setting.
On the ground floor is the Emergency Center designed to see more than 75,000 patients annually. LEAN Process criteria were incorporated to improve patient flow and increase physician productivity.
