The project is targeting LEED gold certification with features such as an underground cistern to store rain water which is used for flushing the toilets in the facility. Other sustainable features include native landscaping, high performance glass and materials containing recycled content. The large overhang on the south elevation not only provides a covered exterior space on the lake but also provides protection from the summer sun at the glass pre-function space.
