Hernan Rivera, AIA, ACHA
Associate Principal
Hernan Rivera is an Associate Principal and is an integral member of the firm's design team. He received his Bachelor of Design and Master of Architecture degrees from the University of Florida. Since joining HuntonBrady in 2009, Hernan has been focused on providing innovative design solutions for healthcare clients on a variety of projects. Â
After receiving his architectural license in 2014, Hernan joined AIA Orlando as a Design Awards Committee Member. In 2015, he was selected to become the AIA Orlando Young Architects Forum (YAF) Emerging Professionals Director at-large. In 2018, he was selected as AIA Orlando President Elect and was recognized with the Fred Pryor Young Architects Award by the AIA Orlando Chapter. He has supported AIA in numerous areas, including their grassroots efforts, conferences, and Legislative Day in Tallahassee.Â
In 2019, he served as AIA Orlando Chapter President and was part of the Orange County Housing for All Task Force, started by Mayor Jerry Demings. Hernan has developed a strong relationship with community stakeholders and the City of Orlando by participating in affordable housing initiatives and other issues that are prevalent in our community. He currently serves on the AIA Orlando Equity Diversity & Inclusion committee, as part of the AIA Orlando President’s request. In his free time, Hernan enjoys spending time with his family of four and he plays soccer on the weekends.
