Previously inefficient and outdated, the new public realm, roughly 12,450 SF, for HCA Osceola has undergone a double-height lobby expansion and general transformation that rebrands the entire campus and greatly enhances the user experience. Before the renovation, the original entrance was cumbersome and disjointed; the public spaces were dark with unclear circulation and confusing signage. The challenge was to reinvigorate the consumer experience and perception of this facility, not only from an exterior standpoint, but also on a personal level that emphasized human interaction, comfort, and well-being. Along with the main lobby and reception desk, we organized and redesigned the café, volunteer’s area, chapel, gift shop, registration, and discharge spaces.
