OCPS Hamlin Middle School
Hamlin Middle School is the most recent example of OCPS’ and HuntonBrady Architects’ prototype. Similar to Carver and Timber Springs Middle Schools, Hamlin incorporates 21st century pedagogy throughout the building. Spaces for technology and collaboration are strongly integrated, providing opportunities for self-learning through access to computers, whiteboards, and reconfigurable furniture.
The site was master planned to accommodate Hamlin Middle School and an elementary school. Both facilities share a single bus loop and service access driveway, as well as a front parking lot that spans across both schools. This arrangement allows the parent pick-up/drop-off line to be the most efficient and flexible.
