We are proud to share that our project, CommonSpirit St. Francis Hospital - Interquest, received Designed For Zero’s National Project of the Year Award at this year’s D4Z conference in Nashville!
D4Z is dedicated to the reduction of healthcare harm, macro awareness for safety, evidence-based research, and third-party reviews. The 72-bed/10 OR hospital exemplifies each of these principles while incorporating LEAN design practices and advanced technology throughout the facility, including SLD airframe technology that reduces contaminants in the operating rooms. A special focus was placed on staff sight lines and proximity to patient rooms to increase effective communication and minimize walking distances.
Principal in Charge Paul Macheske, FAIA, FACHA, LEED AP sat down with industry partners from SLD Technology and Grey Atlantic to discuss the importance of healthcare design and the different technologies used throughout the Common Spirit St. Francis Hospital - Interquest project. Check out their full interview below.
